Library and young people

The Library in its effort to bring children in to contact with the world of books and attract them to its premises, maintains and constantly enriches a collection with material adressed to children in order to create a space of entertainment and pleasure for its young friends. The Collection items are addressed to toddlers and preschool children, pupils, adolescents and young people. It includes illustrated fairytales, novels about contemporary life, adventures, comics, series on art, science, mythology, history and nature, as well as theatrical texts for children. The Collection is being renewed with all the books of classical Greek and world children’s and adolescent’s literature. The Collection can be used both by pupils visiting the Library in order to do a project or write an essay in its area as part of a lesson, and individually by all children and teenagers interested.
